Product area in charge:
Promotion activities for Danish goods, mainly building materials and consumer goods, like interior, gifts items and furniture.
Achievements:
Yearly at least 50 new companies introduced to the Japanese market. Among those, Stelton, Damptech and other.
Damptech managed to enter the Japanese market and get their first reference at a project in Osaka (Abenobashi Terminal Building), which at the time was the tallest building in Japan. Today they have a good business in Japan with relations to the biggest Japanese general construction companies.
Other achievements:
Organizing of a Danish booth at Tokyo International Gift Show
Got well connected with the organizer of the show, and have kept contact ever since, attending various ceremonies since then and have a good connection with the second generation of the company.
Promotion of 30 to 40 Danish high end furniture manufacturer
Organized promotion of Danish design furniture, including Fritz Hansen, P.P. Møbler, Fredericia Møbelfabrik, BoConcept and 50 other Danish design furniture manufacturer.

NTC
NTC is a Japanese company within the transport and building industry.
I introduced a Danish urinal, which we in collaboration introduced to the Japanese market. We succeeded selling to the biggest general construction companies (Shimizu Kensetsu, Taisei Kensetsu, Obayashi Gumi etc), department stores (Mitsukoshi, Takashimaya etc), railway companies (JR, Sotetsu, Meitetsu etc), largest restaurant chains (McDolands, Skylark etc), public institutions (Highway company, municipality offices), educational institutions (primary, secondary schools, universities etc),

I established mx2 as a personally owned company, importing and marketing of Danish exhibition equipment.
I did all the work from negotiating contract with the manufacturer for sole agency on Japan, elaborating all import documents, elaborating sales strategy, creating web pages, accounting etc.

Martok was a Japanese gardening company, who established their business in Denmark around 2005. I was hired to sell the gardens as well as taking care of all issues in Denmark, related to their office, public institutions, visa for the gardeners and architects as well as taking care of leasing of equipment, checking Danish regulations and much more.
I also started up their projects in Dubai, but unfortunately due to the financial crisis the activities ended by the end of 2008.

Starzen Europe is a daughter company of Starzen Co. Ltd. the third largest company within the meat industry in Japan.
Exporting mainly pork from Europe to Japan.
Visiting suppliers around Europe (Denmark, Germany, France, Spain, Ireland, Portugal, Hungary, Poland and more), handling of orders, handling of transport documents, instructing suppliers in relation to Japanese standards and product specifications, handling complaints and much more.
Elaboration of a complaint handling manual for suppliers.
Changing the office from a paper based office to an IT based office utilizing online services.

Group Bigard is the largest company in France, within the meat industry. I was hired by Cipa, which is Group Bigards trading company, to setup their Japan office.

Meat Industry YouTube
Establishing, running, maintaining, recording, editing of a YouTube channel for two famous people in the Japanese meat industry, the No 1 meat industry journalist Mr. Takahashi Hiroshi and former vice chairman and vice president of Starzen, Mr. Nagano Akira.
The channel is about learning how to predict the future of the meat market, based on statistics, historical data, trends, and knowledge of the meat industry in general.
Where Takahashi is mainly focusing on the meat industry and the prediction of the market, Nagano will also focus on the business side.
My job is also to market the channel, which among other thing will include interviewing CEOs of large Japanese corporations within the food industry, thus position the channel as the GO TO channel for information about the meat industry.
Advisor for a Japanese packaging company
Since Nov 2022, I have worked for a Japanese packaging company starting up their export division.
In June 2022, we participated in our first exhibition outside Japan, in the Philippines.
My job is to startup the export. Practically I advise members of the export division on all aspects related to export, elaborate short and long term export strategies, I oversee communication between staff members and foreign customers.

I have my own YouTube channel where I am informing Japanese about what is going on outside Japan.
A lot of Japanese are not able to gather information from abroad due to language issues. So my aim is to try to communicate information as neutral as possible.
The channel covers a lot of topics. Usually I will base next episode on either recent international events Japanese should know about or on topics requested by the users. Topics I know Japanese lack information about, may also be my choice.
The channel was monetized in only 3 weeks from launching the first "real" episode (today more than 200.000 views) which indicate understanding of the Japanese people.
