Single incidents like covid changed Japan to a society accepting working from home in higher degree. Japanese are much more digitalized today than for 20 years ago.

The bad news - what changed?

Japanese has be come much poorer than they used to be. You can no longer rely on Japanese paying the highest amount for a good product. They wont, they cant.
Japanese market is not defined by that huge 3rd largest economy in the world any longer. You need to adapt especially your pricing. If you are pricewise not competitive, forget Japan.
